How to Ride Transit Using Your Phone

  • Download your mobile app of choice from the options above
  • Purchase passes to use immediately or store them for future rides (note: an internet connection is required to purchase and activate a mobile pass)
  • As the bus approaches open your app and tap your pass to activate
  • Once onboard follow instructions in the app to validate your ticket

Rider Descriptions

Name Description
Regular
Reduced

K-12 students, persons with a disability, Medicaid/Medicare cardholders, and person over 65 years of age. Riders must be approved by CyRide to purchase reduced fares. Please visit www.cyride.com/token-transit to learn more.
ISU Staff/Faculty

Subsidized passes for ISU staff, faculty members, and postdocs. Riders must be approved by CyRide to purchase reduced fares by submitting a staff/faculty ID card or current ISU pay stub. Please contact CyRide at 515-292-1100 or cyride@cyride.com for approval.
Child

Children 5 years and younger (maximum of 3 children per passenger) ride free.

Fare Descriptions

Name Description
1 Ride

Valid for a single ride. Ticket will display for 30 minutes.
10 Ride

Pack of 10 passes, each valid for 30 minutes after first use.
Month

Month passes are valid for 31 consecutive days after first use and expire at midnight on the 31st day.
Summer

Summer passes are valid from May 1st to August 31st, 2025.
